Some boards buzzing with rumors of this fight, supposedly 12 March. If it's true, I don't know about Tito's management team- going from a puffed-up, undisciplined welterweight to a fitness nut who could easily be a muscular lightheavy is tough, especially when Tito is so reliant upon his power. Remember how unstoppable Tito looked against Joppy right before Hopkins- I'm not saying Sturm is anywhere near Tito's class, but the size differential is notable, I just don't think this is the most logical fight for Tito, and I think there's some unnecessary risk here. I'd either stay away from it or, if the odds were long enough, take a deep breath and bet Sturm.

Your observations would seem to be accurate. I would take the plus money with Strum at this point also. A wait and see approach is my take right now.

I like Sturm. Only question is how good Sturm can take a punch. Trinidad was hit alot against Mayorga. But his power bailed him out

tito

The prefight with Hopkins was somewhat unusual as the travel date was 48 hrs before the fight and training be so far away. I will say that Strum has a shot abeit a small one to get tito out early. The longer a fight between the two the more dominant tito becomes. His training nowadays is focused on big money which may motivate some like him.
